Job Duties and Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution
Review project plans in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs accurately.
Assist in procuring resources, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for project execution.
Oversee all onsite and offsite construction activities, ensuring compliance with building and safety regulations.
Monitor work progress daily and address issues promptly to prevent delays.
Coordinate with foremen, supervisors, direct construction workers, and subcontractors for smooth project execution.
Contract and Resource Management
Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts, and obtain necessary permits and licenses.
Track inventory, select tools and materials, and ensure resources are efficiently utilized.
Meet all contractual conditions and maintain accurate project records.
Quality, Safety, and Risk Management
Ensure all construction work meets quality standards and proper techniques are used.
Develop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to mitigate risks of fraudulent or inaccurate transactions.
Ensure strict adherence to Health, Safety, Hygiene, Housekeeping, and Security standards onsite.
Identify, analyse, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Reporting and Communication
Prepare and submit regular reports on project status to internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain effective communication and collaboration with Architectural, Engineering, and Project Management departments.
Liaise with service providers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth operations and effective coordination.
Team Leadership and People Management
Motivate, organize, and encourage teamwork to achieve set productivity targets.
Identify recruitment requirements, collaborate with HR for sourcing and selecting candidates.
Assess training and development needs, ensuring employees receive appropriate development opportunities.
Monitor, counsel, and appraise team performance to maintain high standards and adherence to company policies.
Additional Duties
Plan ahead to prevent potential problems and resolve any emerging issues promptly.
Ensure the department is structured and managed effectively to support the company and its subsidiaries.
Perform any other related duties as required by the management.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Site Manager or similar role in construction
Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, safety regulations, and project management principles
Excellent leadership, organizational, and team management skills
Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
Ability to prepare reports, monitor budgets, and manage resources efficiently
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite is a plus
